Application Process
Final abstracts for talks and posters will be submitted during the application period of June 1 to July 1. The application site will open on June 1 and close on July 1.
Please note that the Gibbs conference has been oversubscribed in past years. In general, priority will be given to early applicants. If necessary, PIs may be asked to restrict the total number of attendees from an individual lab.
We look forward to your application. The instructions below vary depending on your interest in presenting at the conference. Please read carefully.
Applicants not wishing to present
Please complete the application form. By August 1, you will be notified whether your application has been accepted.
Applications from invited PI speakers
Those invited to talk in Platform Sessions are listed here.
Instructions for abstract preparation were sent to them by the Organizers. PI speakers will complete the application form to provide information such as lodging preference, and to submit abstracts.
Applications from trainees who wish to present a poster or talk
If you wish to present a poster (the sessions are Sunday and Monday evening, after dinner) or a talk in Saturday Night Thermo or a platform session (Sunday to Tuesday), please follow the instructions in this file that includes templates for quarter-page abstracts.
It is essential to submit your application with abstract by July 1.
If your abstract is selected for an oral presentation, then you will be notified by the Organizers in July. You will not be eligible to also present a poster on that work unless there is excess space.
Applications from others who wish to present a poster
Please note that all of the non-trainee talks for platform sessions have been selected already. If you wish to present a poster, please follow the instructions and use the templates provided in this file.
Application Status & Registration
Trainees who are selected to give an oral presentation will be notified by the Organizers in July. All others will be notified of the status of their application by August 1. Registration will run from August 1 to 12.
Accepted applicants who do not register by the deadline may forfeit their acceptance. Applicants on the waiting list will then be given the opportunity to register.
No refunds will be given after August 16.
